Miller, Arthur (“Dusty”)

Age: 27
Date of birth: c1917

Parents: Mr and Mrs Arthur Edwin Miller
Wife: Alice Kathleen Miller nee Byerley
Address: 104 Wathen Road, Warwick

Occupation:

Arthur (known as Dusty) was born in Liverpool in 1917 to Arthur Edwin Miller. As Arthur Miller is a relatively common name, we have not been able to trace details of his mother with certainty although a Mary E Jenkins married an Arthur Miller, in Warwick in 1917.

We cannot find the family via the 1939 Register although we did find details of Dusty’s future wife, Alice Kathleen Byerley. She was born in Warwick in 1919 and was living with her widowed mother at 104 Wathen Road, the address later given in Dusty’s CWGC entry. Kathleen was working as a laundry worker at the time.
Arthur married Alice in Warwick in 1940. They had two children, both born in Warwick, Alice born in 1940 and Brian born in 1943.

Kathleen remarried following Dusty’s death – married name Ball. She died in Coventry in 1981.
