George William Prestage was born in St. Pancras, London in 1882.
In 1905 he married Alice Eyden in Stonebridge, Middlesex. They had three children, Thomas George born in 1905, James Herbert born in 1907 and Elsie Louisa born in 1909.
On the 1911 census the family were living in Willesden, Middlesex. George was working as a Railway Carriage Cleaner.
In 1919 Alice married Walter William Hawkins in Warwick. Their daughter Edith was born on the 8th August 1920. On the 1939 census the family were living at 75 Lakin Road. Alice died in Warwick in 1950.
