Frederick was born in Warwick in 1889. He was one of eleven children but by the census of 1911 only six were still living. In 1911 the family with Frederick and two of his younger sisters Nellie aged 17 and Frances aged 11 were living at 6 Vine Lane, Packmores, Warwick. Fredericks’s father William had been a greengrocer but was now working as a general labourer. Frederick aged 22 worked at the gelatine factory.
Frederick’s mother Hannah died in 1915 aged 55. William died in 1929 aged 69.
Frederick’s brother, Thomas William Parker of 3 Watts Cottage, Smith Street, made the application for Frederick to be listed on the Warwick War Memorial.

Frederick was gassed on 22nd October 1917 but returned to duty shortly afterwards. He was entitled to wear a wound stripe.
