William Malin was born in 1898 in Drayton, Nr Stratford upon Avon. His parents were Henry and Hannah Malin. His father worked in agriculture as a labourer but the family moved into Warwick sometime between 1901 and 1911 when they are recorded as living at 61 Woodhouse Street.
Henry was the youngest of six children. His siblings were James (b. 1886), George (b. 1888), Charles (b.1889), Rose (b. 1891) and Thomas (b.1896).
These items all appeared in the Warwick Advertiser, 3 upon William’s death in 1916 and the final one in September 1918 – In Memoriam
