The twins Reginald and Gordon were baptised on October 1st 1898 at St Peter’s Church Wootten Wawen. Their father, John, was a farmer in Norton Lindsey before moving the family to 55 West Street in Warwick when he retired. They are recorded as living there in the 1911 census, when John was aged 64. The household included a boarder Robert Strong, a 22 year old grocer’s assistant. Reginald is recorded as ‘Regie’.
55 West Street is now occupied by a past Mayor of Warwick, John Holland. A few years ago he received an unexpected package through the post. It contained a photograph of the Boulton children on the front step of the house, taken in 1909. With it was a short hand-written note from Elsie’s daughter
