Tallett, Frederick Charles

Frederick was baptised at St Nicholas, Warwick on 10th February 1895. His father is recorded as a fitter, living on Packmore Street.

At the time of the 1901 census, Frederick was living at 24 Paradise Street, Packmores, Warwick with his parents, two older brothers, Thomas (9) and John (7) and two younger sisters, Emily (4) and Mary (5 months). Thomas Snr’s elderly widowed mother was also part of the household. Thomas was working as a metal turner.

In 1911 the family, still living at 24 Paradise Street, had grown and Frederick had six younger siblings: Emily, Mary Ann, Edward, Lucy Ellen, William and Henry. There had been a tenth child which hadn’t survived. At that time, Thomas Snr was an iron turner at a brewery and Frederick was working as an iron moulder at the iron foundry. Thomas Jnr worked as a tent maker and John as a general labourer at the gelatine works.

The 1915 Spennells Trade Directory lists Thomas Tallet as living at 39 Brook Street.
