Victor Albert was baptised on 28th August 1887, when his parents Walter and Clara were living at Cherry Street, Warwick. However Clara died in the following year and at the time of the 1891 census, the family living at 2 Cherry Street consisted of Walter, his second wife Lelika, 6 sons: Arthur (12), Ernest (10), Henry (7), Edward (6), Victor (3) and Edwin (2), and a stepson Arthur Bosworth (9). Walter was a bootmaker on his own account.
By the 1901 census, Walter’s wife was Sarah and the family, now 5 children including Victor and two younger sisters, lived at 14 Market Street. By 1911, only Victor, now aged 23, was living with his parents, at 7 West Rock, Saltisford and was working as a Motor driver (domestic).
Victor married Ida M Davis in 1915 (Q2) in Southam.
Although he died in November 1916, Victor was originally reported missing and it was only in August 1917 that his parents were informed of his death
