Launch of Warwick Military Heritage Trail
Warwick is steeped in military history, and now eight of the museums and military collections have come together to launch the ‘Warwick Military Heritage Trail’.
A leaflet available to pick up at the Visitor Information Centre in Jury Street has a map of the trail and summaries of the locations to visit. They are:
- The Fusilier Museum in Pageant House
- The Lord Leycester
- The Museum of the Queen’s Royal Hussars – Churchill’s Own
- St. Mary’s Church
- The Warwick War Memorial
- Warwickshire County Record Office
- Warwickshire Yeomanry Museum
- Commonwealth War Graves (Birmingham Road Cemetery)
Locations on the trail allow you to chart the history of the famous regiments that were based here, and discover the stories of the men and women who gave their all for their country. The websites of the military museums give opening times.
