Send Us Your Family Stories
We have lots of information from the public domain – such as census records, military medal and service records, information on baptisms, marriages and deaths – but what we would really like is ‘inside’ information from someone who has a connection with the fallen.
This could be a story, a letter or a diary entry that has been passed down from a family member, friend, work colleague or anyone else who knows something about the person concerned.
We would be thrilled to have a picture of everyone who appears on the war memorial, or failing that, a picture of their gravestone or memorial.
If you have a story or photo that you would like to share with others, please send a copy to: info@warwickwarmemorial.org.uk.
Alternatively, if you do not have access to a computer, you can drop it into the Visitor Information Centre (when open), or post your contribution to:
Unlocking Warwick,
The Old Court House,
Jury Street,
Warwick CV34 4EW.
Please enclose your address and we will return the original document or photo to you.
Know of someone who is not on the memorial?
If you know of a person who died whilst in service during the First or Second World War and had strong connections with Warwick but is not on the Warwick War Memorial, please send us the details and we will research this further and include the person in our “Not Forgotten” section if appropriate.
Have we got something wrong?
